SVN

Saturday, 17 April 2010

After a lot of time wasted dealing with my hosting service, I've finally managed to get the SVN up and running! It's got read-only public access so you can checkout anything, the address is http://svn.grownseed.net/grownseed/.

For easier access, I've also managed to integrate WebSVN to Joomla with MooTools and some AJAX magic, have a look on the projects page. WebSVN is a really good SVN browser made in PHP and I would gladly recommend it.

If anybody is interested in integrating an SVN browser to their site (and in particular Joomla), leave a comment and I'll make my script available. I'm also planning on creating a proper port to Joomla that I'll add to the SVN.

I'd love to get the script for Joomla integration.

Thanks by advance

Hi Philippe,

you can download the basic component from here http://grownseed.net/websvn/dl.php?repname=Grownseed&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fcom_websvn%2F, or you can go through the SVN.

Let me know if you need help with anything.

cheers.

Hi,

I think I am close to a working websvn integration...

However the last input tag in websvn.php doesn't give any output yielding when I look at it using Firebug...

Btw, your current project site under http://grownseed.net/projects.html does show the same behavior. So I assume something changed in the source which was previously working...

Any idea?
Thanks a lot!

best,
Holger

Hi Holger,

If you go to the project page, you'll see that I've added "com_websvn" to my SVN. The current integration is not very flexible and will require some changes to work on your own site, but I'm happy to help if you need. Keep in mind you'll also need to setup WebSVN on your site.

Cheers, Grownseed.

Thanks a lot! However I need some start-up help to set this up?

Would you please provide some coarse instructions?

best,
Holger

Hi,

this is exactly what I was after. Please let me know your status? Is the script available?

best, Holger
